Acoustic MTV is the fourth live album and the sixteenth of the career of Brazilian pop double Sandy and Junior. The brothers' last project as a duo was released in 2007, the year in which they announced their separation after 17 years as a musical duo.

Acústico MTV: Bandas Gaúchas was a project by MTV Brasil, which brought together the bands Bidê ou Balde, Cachorro Grande, Ultramen and the singer Wander Wildner (former leader of the Replicantes) in a single show, broadcast on TV and released on CD and DVD. in 2005. It was an innovative project, as it brought together 4 artists in a single acoustic and, for the first time, used a pre-defined theme: rock gaucho. The main idea of ​​the project (several bands of the same genre in a single project) was repeated in the MTV Ao Vivo 5 Bandas de Rock project, which brought together 5 pop rock and emocore bands in the same show.

There are only a few artists who are able to get away with performing the same songs over and over again. One of the best examples might be The Rolling Stones. Brazil also has a few of those selected musicians. Like Lulu Santos. Not long after his MTV Acústico project, in which he performed his major hits in the suggested acoustic setting, he's back again with another MTV live recorded album. This time with his regular tour band, and again performing some of his most successful songs. A strange phenomenon is that the acoustic hit collection sold 745,000 copies, while in no time this MTV Ao Vivo album already sold the 60,000 copies necessary to receive a gold album. Strange, because the studio album in between, the very good piece of work called Bugalu (2003), did not succeed the 51,000 figure (so far). It seems people can't get enough of listening to the songs they grew up with!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Seja o Que Eu Quiser, the album that marked the beginning of Lagum’s journey, the band presents an exclusive Live Session in one of Brazil’s most iconic landmarks: the Sugarloaf Cable Car. Suspended between the sky, the sea, and the city of Rio de Janeiro, the group revisits the songs that helped shape its story through new arrangements and an intimate atmosphere. The recording also marks a historic milestone, making Lagum the first band ever to perform a live session inside a moving cable car. More than a celebration, the project is a tribute to a decade of music, friendship, and connection with their fans.
