Daniel Harding, Music Director of the Accademia, conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Richard Wagner’s *Die Walküre*, presented in a special staged production.

For the first time, the story of a kidnapping that made history. Giorgio Calissoni, kidnapped with his mother Anna Bulgari, is part of that tragic story and relives the days of imprisonment, up to the brutal cut of the ear, faithfully retracing one of the most heinous kidnappings of the kidnapping season. This documentary is dedicated to Anna Bulgari, in which she reveals unpublished details in a providential way before her disappearance. Giorgio, through this docu-crime, talks one last time with his mother Anna, living again, moment by moment, that painful memory.

Lionel Bringuier conducts the Orchestra and Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, with Stefano Bollani and Hyung-ki Joo at the piano, and Piero Monti as choirmaster. The program features: Francis Poulenc, Concerto for Two Pianos; Maurice Ravel, Daphnis et Chloé, choreographic symphony.

The staging of Gioacchino Rossini's two-act comic opera, with libretto by Cesare Sterbini, at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma during the 2016/2017 season.
