The story of Ho Eng Dji, a Makassar poet and musician who was born in Kassi Kebo in 1906 and died in 1960 in Makassar. He is of Chinese descent who associates harmoniously with the people of Makassar.

Daeng Sarro, the owner of a mortuary supplies business, asks his children and grandchildren to come and stay at his house in a remote village after his wife dies, until the mourning period is over. However, due to urgent matters, Rahma must return to the city, while her children remain at home. Day by day, various mysterious events begin to haunt Daeng Sarro's grandchildren.

Anca, a Bugis-Makassar guy, just back from overseas. Accidentally he is reunited with her former lover Risna. The seeds of love resurfaced. Hoping not to lose Risna for the second time, Anca intends to marry Risna. But his intention is blocked by the marriage customary terms: Uang Panai or dowry in fantastic quantities. Anca’s struggle begins. He is assisted by his friends Tumming and Abu, who often gave hilarious and absurd ideas. In the midst of Anca’s struggle to collect the dowry, comes Farhan, Risna’s old friend who has just returned from abroad. Farhan's father who is also Risna’s father best friend, is intending to match Farhan and Risna. Anca depressed. He takes more longer time to gather the dowry. Risna worries whether Anca will leave her as before. Risna’s family does not want to stall off any longer.

The story of the friendship between a photographer (Rijja), a barista (Jhaka) & (Tiara) a final semester student who works part-time to support her family in the village. Jhaka's delay in paying his motorbike installments because he helped Tiara pay for college fees becomes the trigger for their problems. At their lowest point, the three of them begin to get to know each other better until a love triangle forms that will destroy their friendship.
