Evert and his father Mark lost Rita to an incurable disease a year ago. The grieving process is difficult and an inexplicable fatigue overtakes Mark. There is something ominous in the family home, something that gradually but surely takes control.

A routine raid led by Emer Berry, a detective in the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau, reveals that a small-time drug dealer has been receiving substantial funding from a seemingly untraceable source – not in cash, but in rough diamonds. When these diamonds are linked to a series of bombings in Belgium, Emer is forced to work with Police Commissioner Christian De Jong.

The series Auwch revolves around everyday painful and embarrassing situations in which the main characters are constantly getting into, with the familiar awkward silences result ... the apparent inability of men to understand women, is it often central, but also the awkwardness in dealing with friends and with fellow VIP's in their professional lives.
