Ichirō Ōtsu

Two short stories set in Edo during the Shogun era. The first, during a time when Christians are persecuted vehemently, Iori falls in love with a young Christian girl. When she and her family are captured during a raid, his sadistic master takes her as his personal slave to torment Iori. The second follows Sutezo who, forced to serve the barbarous master of a brothel in order to repay his debts, befriends a young girl. Together, they both escape and struggle to get by on scams and petty theft.

In the middle of the 16th century, Hideyoshi, a power hungry warlord sets out to destroy the Momochi clan. He sends his war commander in search of the clan's hidden gold only to find that two daggers are the key to the hiding place of the treasured gold. Spanning decades, the quest for the missing daggers takes Shiranui through war and ancient tradition.

After World War II, when Okinawa was under control of the United States, the local yakuza prospered. But when Okinawa is returned to Japan, the mainland yakuza tries to take over; the local yakuza tries to compete. Now sides are drawn among the local yakuza guys who used to be best friends since their childhood, and brother fights brother. It results in the biggest yakuza war in Okinawa.

Soma goes to Masakis allowed back to his former gang, led by Takeda who asked for his help since he had problems controlling their own men. But one fears how Somas former assistant Kokubu, now second in command of Takeda, should react. Soon Soma assassinated by three hired men, but one of them, Karasaki, who has just escaped an assassin is still possible to Masaki for help, explaining that Kokubu hired him. A member, Hazama, beeing jealous over Masakis high rank and starts planning ways to get rid of the newcomer from the gang.

Shabs and weapons leaked from a US military base in Bando-gumi's Shima. It was due to a plot of the Kenyukai aiming at the Bando group's Shima. The Kenyukai sends a young head, Takenouchi, to Masaki, the second generation of the Wuxia Association, who tries to stop the plot.
