In an ordinary industrial Soviet town, notable only for presence of a radio-telescope, people start behaving strangely, in a robotic manner, while assuming geometry-inspired aliases and organizing into a new hierarchy. The phenomenon spreads via a device of alien origin, called “the mediator”, capable of implanting extraterrestrial minds into human bodies. The aliens are bound by limitations of the terrestrial technology, having to use the means at the disposal of humans to prepare the grounds for the full-scale invasion. With “the mediator" being unable to subdue minds of children, lunatics, geniuses, and rebels, a struggle over the fate of the town and the human civilization ensues.

One fine morning, the stoker of an ancient stokehouse in Moscow woke up with a hangover, found a hefty black raven on his window, which turned out to be talking and boozing.

Nurse Tatyana lives in a quiet provincial town. Everything seems to be going well with her: there is a good job at the hospital and friends who are ready to support at any moment. And then a healthy young woman suddenly falls ill. Doctors make her a disappointing diagnosis - diabetes. Tanya needs to undergo expensive treatment in Moscow. It was in this difficult period for her that the heroine meets a man who is ready to help. He loves her and wants to make her happy. Tatiana begins to believe that the wedding is just around the corner, and her recovery is just a matter of time. But such a successful development of events does not suit Tatyana's best friend, and he begins to plot. Will he succeed in destroying the heroine’s just-settled life and again returning her to the abyss of hopelessness and disbelief in herself?

The carefree musicians suddenly find themselves in an unexpected predicament and end up owing a very large sum to a very serious person — the Star. The band’s existence is under threat, and the future in general is rather uncertain… But fate draws the guys into an amazing adventure involving an oligarch businessman, his ruthless assistant, and a punk girl who is in love with a nerd. Will our heroes be able to bring two loving people together and save their future?

The film built a classic love square: two pairs of MSU students are living vicissitudes. Everyone has their own destiny. It all depends on the choice of path. Some neglect the principles and norms, sweeping away the barriers of morality. Others remain true to their love and duty. The ending of the film is completely unpredictable…

Siege of Leningrad, 1942. Despaired Nina Voronova evacuates from the city, leaving her little son along in a deadly cold apartment. He is found by Katya, a teenage girl from next door.
