The Great Patriotic War is over, but Major Sorokin and Colonel Dobrygin still have a lot to do for their homeland. They must go to West Germany in order to find and return the children who were taken out of the Soviet Union by the Nazis and are now kept in atrocious conditions under the supervision of British intelligence. Former allies want to grow real spies out of their children.

On the outskirts of the provincial town, Yevdokim and Yevdokiya live, raising foster children. Yevdokim works at a factory, Yevdokiya is a housewife. The family seems to be safe and happy: the only trouble is that Yevdokiya cannot forget the love of her youth. This Yevdokim cannot stand and offers Yevdokiya freedom, while he will remain with the children. But all these contradictions are drowned in mutual love for children and for each other.

Musical comedy based on the play by V. Dykhovichny and M. Slobodsky, staged by the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire.

A company of swindlers is creating a school of nannies and teachers to provide “educational” services to the population. The company's employees are exclusively homeless people from the area of ​​three stations, subordinate to the foreman. The people chosen are very diverse, and a decent legend with recommendations is composed for each one. Thus, the scammers not only deceived gullible citizens who fell for the advertisement, but also quite realistically solved the problem of the homeless by providing them with food and a roof over their heads.

The mischievous Carlson and the gullible Kid are the heroes of a well-known fairy tale. Carlson loves to play pranks very much, and for all the consequences of pranks he has a "proprietary" excuse: "It's nothing, it's an everyday thing!".

The heroes of the film are students of a pedagogical university, those who, after a year or two, have to carry knowledge to schoolchildren, "to sow the rational, good, eternal." In the meantime, student practice. True, the practice is not quite ordinary, because for the first time students leave far from the walls of their own university, for the first time they meet with students in the classroom not in the presence of their teachers, those with whom life encounters them daily at the institute, but with those who have been working for more than a year at school.

This little-seen and little-discussed film combines animation with self-reflexive, live action segments to embody the anarchic, satiric spirit of the poet and playwright Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930). The film also showcases Sergei Yuktevich's fondness for formal experimentation. It is nominally adapted from Mayakovsky's play "The Bedbug" and his screenplay "Forget All About the Fireplace."
