Erhard Malm is studying to become an engineer, but support himself as a tutor at Consul Frendin. The consul's daughter Ruth and Erhard get interested in each other.

As a member of Swedish Parliament, Johannes will visit Stockholm for the first time and meets with acquaintances. However, he does not realize what his "friends" have planned for him during his stay.

A young worker has decided he must get to buy a lottery ticket with the number 33.333. He manage to get the ticket. This leads to a long series of complicated developments.
