He lives some kind of special life. He speaks poetry and tells amazing stories. Their relationship is developing rapidly, but for some reason he avoids intimacy.

Five friends – a poet, an actor, a painter, an architect and a primitivist film director – are five red avant-garde artists who try to find the embodiment of their hopes and dreams in the young Soviet state. The Revolution is boiling up like a bottle with apple cider: winged service dogs and heart-shaped potatoes, dead Semashko, the People’s Commissar for Health, and cheerful angels, love for the Tsar and love for the young secretary Annushka, executions and pregnancies – everything is interlaced and inseparable!

Yekaterinburg of the 90s. A company of young poets, including the most talented — a junior researcher at the Institute of Geophysics Boris Ryzhy, wanders through the cold and dangerous streets of the city from party to party. Ironic and friendly, he can negotiate with local brothers with equal ease, drive to Moscow for the "Anti-Booker" award, fight at the stall and crash into the department.

In the old house, but in the heart of the big city lives a Russian intellectual Chekhov's tailoring Ilyin. He lives a quiet-peaceful and for the time being do not know what in the old closet is the entrance to a mysterious cave and magic the room from which you can easily get to any capital in the world…

1943 year. Alma-Ata. The hero of the film is a young Michurin fruit grower who revives a medicinal apple variety and investigates a strange crime. The script was written based on the book by Mikhail Zoshchenko "Before the Sunrise".

Story is set in deep Russia, on a wild river in woods called "Ugrum-reka" - the Moody river. Son of a dishonest trader, Prohor Gromov wants to become his own man. He takes his fathers order and goes trough the woods to deliver the furs to the byer in the nearest town. He tries to take the shorter way and get`s lost. At the highest point of this, his fathers servant, Abdulla, who is sent with him to guard him almost shoots him driven by hunger, but comes to the senses and saves his life by continuing to go on.
