In the late 30s, the family of the sailor Salah Hazoum arrives in the city of Latakia coming from Alexandria. His son Saeed searches for him in vain after he hears many rumors about his disappearance. The son decides to become a sailor like his father and works on a boat with Captain Abdosh. Based on the novel 'Dagal' by Hanna Mina.

Happens in your absence

The film deals with the current and urgent Syrian issue, through the story of a journalist and a doctor, who belong to two different backgrounds in the city of Homs. The dialectic of their relationship begins through a kidnapping operation, and a desire for revenge. They find themselves in a semi-abandoned house amidst a state of ruin, danger and fear. In contact with the bleeding future, the days bring them many radical changes, so that together they will be a different tomorrow.
