It is based on the Portuguese telenovela Paixão (2017), created by Inês Gomes. Adapted by Juan Carlos Alcalá, with direction by Alba Gil and Eric Morales, the telenovela stars Oka Giner, Matías Novoa, Margarita Muñoz, Alejandro de la Madrid, Luz María Jerez, Blanca Guerra, Ana Belena, and Sergio Reynoso. The story follows Luisa Aldama, a talented marine biologist whose life changes after she falls in love with Marcelo, a married businessman.
