Merong Mahawangsa was a descendant of Alexander the Great, a renowned naval captain and traveler who came to Asia several hundred years ago.

Husin has been working in Singapore for some time and decides to return to his hometown, Banana Village. Upon returning, he feels that his neighbour Mak Limah is strange as she does not speak nor sleep. He then tells patrons at Pak Munawer's coffee shop that Mak Limah might be a ghost. Pak Abu decides they should investigate further but when they go to her house, she is already a rotting corpse! However, things get more interesting when the village is haunted by a strange occurrences, despite the burial of Mak Limah.

The story begins with Teacher Aisyah who has just received a placement letter to teach at an indigenous Orang Asli village school in Kelantan. Although initially somewhat shocked and having many concerns about accepting the offer, as an educator she eventually decides to take on the challenge. Her service is needed at the school and she feels responsible for fulfilling it. Teacher Aisyah tries various ways to attract the attention of her students to school. She is grateful to receive assistance from another teacher at the school, Teacher Nazim. Meanwhile, one of her students, Udin, has been absent from school for a long time. According to his classmates, Udin is not attending school because he is caring for his mother who is suffering from mental illness. Teacher Aisyah tries to persuade him to return to school. However, Udin is in a dilemma. As a son, he is responsible for taking care of his mother at home, while as a student he needs to attend school to pursue his education.

It tells the story of Adeera, who is an adopted child and has an adoptive sister named Maya. Maya is very jealous seeing her parents' care towards Adeera. Maya feels she has been sidelined by her own family. Adeera suffers from Neuroblastoma cancer and she tries to help her sister Maya's headscarf selling business and wants to make Maya happy.

Gol & Gincu Vol. 2 tells a story about Zakiah (Zak) and Zakiah (Yaya) who are two self-centered University students with the same name but very different personalities. They volunteer at a troubled teenage girls home run by Jijie. Zak and Yaya proceed to carry out their obligatory punishment but realise its not as easy as they think. Can they set aside their mobile phones and prejudices to really be useful to Jijie and the teenage girls or will they make matters worse by being there. And what was the fight all about anyway?

All of this turmoil was positively viewed by the author and thus reunited in harmony with all the family members who are now adults. A very compelling story and loaded with pure values.
