Chinami (Erika Sawajiri) works at a fabric shop, dreaming of one day working in the fashion industry. By accident, she begins work in the editing section for a fashion magazine. Chinami believes her new job may open doors for her to new opportunities, but it turns out her new job is like working in a war zone with daily fights and competitiveness between the women who work there. Can Chinami survive in such a cutthroat environment?

Shizuka Kamei is a young high school student whose family is in deep debt since the disappearance of her father. After being expelled from her high school because of her money problems, she finds a part-time job: here she is an assistant to a lawyer, Nonaka Hiromu, who fantasizes about the uniforms of high school girls.

26-year-old Tanimachi Mizuho (Matsu Takako) moves to Tokyo hoping to become a successful author, but finds that Tokyo isn't so welcoming. There she meets a popular variety show writer, Morinaga Kenta (Sakaguchi Kenji), who happens to have been a childhood friend. But whether or not they fall in love is uncertain.

Yokoyama Yoko is the representative of the matchmaking agency specializing in nurses, "Nurse no Tomo." A former nurse herself, Yoko, who has experienced many years of marriage hunting, is known as a charismatic figure who, with her straightforward manner of speaking, guides those lost in the world of marriage hunting to success one after another.
