Slim Dusty

Jimmy Sharman Sr was a legend in Australia. He took his travelling show and boxing tent around Australia and young blokes all over Australia would try to take on his people. It was a nice touch to include Jim Sr in The Slim Dusty Movie, a film that doesn't just showcase Slim Dusty's travelling shows, but gives an authentic look at country Australia.

In November 1942 at the ripe age of 15, the boy from a small farm in Nulla Nulla, NSW. David Gordon Kirkpatrick registered & first signed his newly adopted stage name... Slim Dusty. Over the following 60 years Slim has gone on to release a record breaking 100 plus albums, sold more albums in Australia than any other country artist & achieved more Gold & Platinum sales awards than any other Australian Artist.
