Unni is the last male heir of a decaying feudal family in rural Kerala. His inability to accept the socio-economic changes of a new society causes him to gradually withdraw into isolation and paranoia.

The film depicts a famous Malayalam writer's emotional relationship with an intellectual who leads the life of a simple farmer in a remote village. The story unfolds through the writer's bus journey to visit him.

Factory worker Erik goes on a holiday trip to Sri Lanka, and is one of the many clueless people traveling to countries where they don't understand the culture.
