Peeter Sauter

A portrait of the writer Peeter Sauter, who has reached a low point after a divorce and thus also lost his desire to write. To get over this crisis, the writer embarks on a curious journey.

A teenage girl has problems with her family and life when her little brother is born with a heart problem.

Peter and his wife have dinner with friends in a restaurant. They have not quarreled for two weeks already. A new record could be in the making. But a trivial argument soon grows into a quarrel and the night brings weird games into their relationship.

All towns in the world have legendary bars and drinking places. Tiny Valli Bar in Tallinn links different times and people and the film is a portrait of Estonian drinking scene. Shooting months turned out jolly, but also dramatic. One of the participants was kicked out of home, two died soon after the filming. Drinking was definitely part in all that. We are not against or for drinking, we just want to see and understand it (if this is possible all together).

The film takes place in Estonia during the German occupation in the winter of 1943. In order not to serve in the fascist army, Ilmar tries to escape to Finland. His friend Peeter helps him, but this escape ends tragically...

Ekke is a real estate agent who seems to have everything - a good job, family, and money. But he feels that something is still missing. While trying to add some spice to his life, Ekke unintentionally commits a misdemeanour and finds it unexpectedly exciting. In order to feel the excitement again and again, Ekke will reach the state of mind that he won't be able to control any more. He grabs a knife and won't be able to put it down.

A portrait of two ageing cinema professionals who find motivation to live through endless quarrelling and challenging each other. An old film director and a camera man know a secret - when out of work you'll have to get fun and turn your own life into a film. And who would be a better partner than old colleague and mate. Their endless nagging is very much Estonian style, once one is up and the other down, and then it will all turn around.
