Hsu Ching-chun

A-yuan and A-yun are both from the small mining town of Jio-fen. They move to Taipei, where A-yuan is an apprentice by day and goes to night school, and A-yun works as a helper at a tailors. Everyone thinks they are meant for each other, and so do they. They fail to see time and fate are beyond their control.

Welcome to Ward 816, a place filled with incredible children who are true warriors. Each of them carries a badge symbolising their strength in fighting various diseases. In this bustling ward, there's a special group, including Yuan, Shi-yan, Heng, Nuala, Jia-nong, and Da-shan. Despite their parents' occasional arguments, they always come together to support one another when it matters most.

Three poetic tales of seeking the true identity. In the first story, Jing, a blind singer, falls in love with her band's tomboy accordionist Diego. In another time and place, Lily, an elderly lesbian and Yen, her gay friend, create an unexpected bond and support each other in a time of crisis. Finally, we see Diego before she joined the band, when as a teenager she came to grips with her gender identity.

Though Taiwan's rainfall is three times the global average, its uneven distribution creates striking scarcity. Water gives and takes; it sustains life yet brings destruction. Following the sound of currents, the film reflects on water's shifting states, capturing the emotional and spiritual ties woven between people, memory and the surrounding tides.

Zhi Hui (Huang Pin Yuan) is a hardworking blue collar worker that has to sweat under the sun everyday in order to support his family. He is happily married to Xiu Mei (Rene Hou) with a daughter (Gao Jing Rong). However, his life changes from good to bad when she is diagnosed with cerebellar atrophy. Zhi Hui finds it hard to accept the reality of his wife’s illness and decides to take care of her by pushing the wheelchair with his wife and travel around the island. He brings her to listen the sound of the waves and watch the sunset. Together, the family endure the sweetness and the hardship of life.
