A teenage boy is hired along with the music group of his father by a Zamindar (landlord) for entertaining him until the annual flood is over in the Haor region of East Bengal. But the boy finds out that he has to do something more than the rest of the members of the group are required- he has to satisfy the landlord sensually as well. The wife of the landlord cannot stand this new 'rival' of hers and conspires to kill the boy.

The film portrays the initial events of the radical change in the political situation of Bangladesh after the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family on 15 August 1975. The political crisis made upon the killing and fate of four founding members of the Awami League, the first Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tajuddin Ahmed, former Prime Minister Mansur Ali, former Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam and former Home Minister AHM Kamaruzzaman after the assassination.

Jamila lives with her son and mother-in-law in a village. Her husband Hashem works in town. When the war broke out, he leaves town and comes to village. He unites the villagers to protest the Pak military. On the other hand, with the help of Kader Ali Pakistani Mejor Sarfaraj takes away Jamila to the camp. She and other women were victimized by Pakistani Army. By the time, they get united and protest the army.

He also supports an elected vice president of a college Anik to uncover the truth about Mahmud that creates uproar in the college campus and ends with several deaths.

Durjoy's (Amin Khan) father Amzad Khan sold all his businesses and properties in Africa and converted all the cash into various kind of jewels. But on the way back to Bangladesh he died and all the jewels went into the hand of a greedy selfish person named S. K. Mazumder (Wasimul Bari Rajib). Now Durjoy is trying to get back all the jewels from S. K. Mazumder which were rightfully his.
