Based on a novella by the well-known Soviet writer, Emmanuil Kazakevich "Two in the Steppe" and the war diaries of Konstantin Simonov. It's the summer of 1942, communications officer Ogarkov and private Dzhurabaev are fighting their way through the German encirclement. Finding themselves in difficult situations, they learn to trust one another, becoming true friends in the process.

The film was shot about one of the most dramatic operations of the Alpha group. The plot is based on a real story, described in detail in one of the chapters of Alexey Filatov’s book “People A”. The story of Colonel Anatoly Savelyev. 1997. Winter. Moscow. Swedish Embassy. One terrorist and one hostage. This is not a movie about good or bad guys. Rather, this is a story about a hard fatum.

August 6, 1915. After several unsuccessful attempts to assault the positions of the Russian army, the command of the German troops is decided on a new one. On the eve of the attack on the position of the Germans deliver cylinders with chlorine. Lieutenant Kotlinsky accidentally learns about the upcoming use of chemical weapons, but he does not have the time and opportunity to protect his people. All that remains for him is to set up a company to fight to the last.

2014. American reporter Matt McKay, who was in Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq, is sent to the east of Ukraine to find out and report on the Russian invasion of Donbas ...

Year 2013. Ukraine. Navy officer Maxim Fadeev comes from St. Petersburg to the Crimea, after receiving a telegram about the death of his grandfather.

Managing position at Nastenka Cleaning Service, whose employees are migrant girls from Asia, comes at the Muscovite Kirillov out of the blue. The situation is complicated by the fact that Kirillov is planning to leave for Norway and expecting his bride, a typical European with a rather rigid interpretation of freedom and tolerance, to come visit. The idea that she will learn about the exploitation of "women of the East" terrifies him and makes him prevaricate in order to hide his "harem"...

The action takes place in the 80s. Four young guys met while studying at the KGB school. After the graduation, fate scattered them in different directions. Someone went to work abroad, others stayed to live and work in the USSR. But the meeting is inevitable, because there is a secret known only to them...
