A chance encounter between Anna Yam, a photographer, to Eileen Nir, a homeless woman nicknamed 'Peraẖ', enlightens a mutual curiosity, and leads them both to go on an unconventional journey in the dark backyard of Tel Aviv.

August 2021: International forces withdraw from Afghanistan as the Taliban swiftly takes over, imposing Sharia Law. Four prominent Afghan women, now fugitives, put their faith in an impromptu group of activists devoted to saving their lives as world superpowers retreat.

Zvi Elpeleg, the director's grandfather, was a military governor of the Arab citizens of Israel after the establishment of the State. The positive image Zvi presented slowly crumbles when the director reveals his true actions as a ruler in both his military and family life. As she uncovers a family secret, the personal and political merge, reflecting on one another. The film investigates the subject of control and draws a portrait of a country that has, and still is, constantly and obsessively, since its inception, dealing with controlling populations.

Through stories, Memorial Day ceremonies and his letters, Ami was always a present absence for his nephew Shaked, the film's director. Following his grandmother's declining health, Shaked applies to the Defence Ministry for nursing care. His claim is rejected. Their refusal leaves him confused. Fifty years after Ami's death, a shocking truth is unveiled.

Patient-doctor relationships are never easy, but when the patient cannot talk or make decisions, it becomes particularly complicated. This is the everyday reality for the protagonists of this film: Ariella, a veterinarian, and Shmulik, the chief caretaker of a wildlife hospital. As they try to treat their patients, they face questions that are also applicable to life outside the clinic walls.
