Maty, a preschooler, would love to start first grade alongside his best friend Šíma. According to his teacher, however, he should stay in preschool for another year because he’s too wild, doesn’t listen to his mom, and has a lisp. Fortunately, his grandfather is a bit of a magical grandpa. He knows a Native American secret that might help his grandson. He takes Maty to his cabin far from civilization and, surrounded by nature awakening in the spring, tries to prepare him for his upcoming enrollment interview. The first moments in the wilderness aren’t easy at all for a city boy, because there’s no PlayStation or TV at the cabin.

Czech painter and artist Otto Placht (1962) is sometimes called the painter of the jungle. His creative and private life is divided between Prague and Peru, where he draws inspiration from the depths of the Amazon rainforest, ayahuasca and the local people. The film shows his creative process in the interiors of Prague and a studio built right in the rainforest. Poetic shots of nature are interspersed with the harsh realities of the big city, in which Placht's passionate love life and complicated family life are also revealed. The artist's paintings have proven to be not only a fascination with and homage to immaculate nature, but also an environmental plea for its protection.

Sons of two different natures come to live alone with their stroke-paralyzed father and their seriously ill mother. Libor, a religious teacher, with his wife Jana, and Jirka, an atheistic, indecisive and melancholic photographer, with his young son Dominik and his young lover Nikol. Both brothers have to cope with partner problems in addition to their parents' illnesses. Libor and Jana's relationship is marked by futile attempts to conceive. The divorced Jirka, who is thinking of going abroad, does not know how to treat Nikol, who is also ignored by the family. After three days, the father dies, which brings some reconciliation, but the problems of their relationship remain open.
