The heroes of the film Hippo and Penguin, delighted with the performance of circus artists, decided to try themselves on stage too. But instead of fame and applause, they were waiting for failure, the indignant audience left the hall. However, soon the friends found their business in life.

The story of the girl, Masha, who grows a cucumber in the garden and protects it, with the help of a dog, from a goat, a rooster and a crow. At night, Masha dreams about a star rain falling and watering a cucumber patch. At dawn, the girl sees a cucumber horse, which takes her for a ride.
