Giannis Alexandrakis

Alexis Panas, a brilliant trainee psychiatrist, leads a double life. By day, Alexis handles complex cases for inmates at a mental health clinic. By night, the quiet psychotherapist frequents Athens' seedy gay bars looking for pleasure. As Alexis' complicated existence unfolds, the stories of fellow lost souls depict the city's ugly face and the chronic problem of acceptance and racism that society stubbornly shies away from dealing with. But the closeted psychologist knows he is playing with fire. After all, he is looking for love in all the wrong places. And when a horrible incident leaves him open-mouthed, Alexis will have to choose: live a life in fear or live his life.

We see the parallel lives of a young group dying in the mire of modern Athens. Spentzos, pushing a pair of high school students in the drug trade and prostitution. When a ruthless pimp asking for a share of their jobs, then the knives come out.

A car electrician, Charis, spends all his money on tailors in order to give the appearance of a "lord". He constantly fights with his brother, Vasilis, who is also a day laborer (painter), saddled with all the joint expenses of the house. Charis believes that his looks will someday attract a rich wife and thus change his life and solve all his problems. Martha, however, the wealthy daughter of the shipowner Karapezis, falls in love with and marries his brother Vasilis (after he saved her life) without regard for her father's opinion or Vasilis' lack of money.
