Manfred Krug was a German actor, singer, and writer. Until he moved to West Germany in June 1977, he was one of the most prominent artists in the GDR. During his time in the GDR, he used the pseudonyms Clemens Kerber (as a songwriter) and Isa Karfunkelstein (as an interviewer of himself).

NATO wants to establish a naval base in Rocksmouth, but first, the German envoy has to salvage an old ship wreck. In 1942, the "Princess of India" was supposed to bring children to safety in Canada but was sunk by a German submarine at departure. 58 people were killed, most of them children.
