Næss shows outstanding qualities and develops into a star reporter, while Haugen is mediocre. When they have a child together, the question arises as to who should sacrifice their career to stay home with the child. Haugen soon finds himself comfortable in the role of stay-at-home dad.

Andrine and Kjell are both 17, and attends a private high school. Many things disturb their way to the spring exams, and fall in love. The come from different backgrounds, but gets common problems when she rents a room at Kjells parents.

Maisen is newly married to the architect Harald, but on the way home he loses the key to their flat. They have to ask their neighbor for help, a man with a new girl every night. But when their marriage falters, the neighbor steps up.

Petter and Kari meet, fall in love, and get married. But it's not easy for a young couple of limited means to find a place to live. Moving in with Petter's parents proves impossible, Kari can't endure her mother-in-law's constant interference. Trying to build a house of their own is halted by so much red tape, and affordable rentals is hard to come by. When Kari gets pregnant things doesn't get any easier.
