Set across three timelines — Republican Spain in 1932, the Civil War in 1937, and contemporary Spain in 2017 — the film follows a constellation of interconnected lives centered on three young men, whose emotional and political echoes gradually reveal themselves.

An orphaned girl named Atenea lives in isolation with other children. When adopted by a family, she glimpses a chance at belonging, but her fear of losing this newfound home drives her to extreme measures.

Paula, a thirteen year old girl, starts to experience certain complications in the relationships with her family and friends. In order to be with her ill grandmother, which she barely knows, she spends the summer in Ojos Negros. There she will meet Alicia, a girl her age, who also stays in town for the summer. Together they will venture into the adult world through a stifling summer that never ends.

Ramón and Céline are a young couple that attended a concert at the Bataclan theatre in Paris on the fateful night of November 13, 2015. They survive the attack, but when they leave the theatre, they are no longer the same. That night leaves a deep scar on both their lives and each tries to cope.

Constantina and Irene have become the last guardians of a centuries-old oral tradition doomed to disappear. A musician tries to find them and undertakes a journey where life moves forward and shows the fragility of everything that surrounds us.

Lina, a Fado singer with classical training, 2 records on Sony Music and an expert on Amália Rodrigues, selected some of the Diva's Fado Classics and they immediately started to work in studio, a joint project. Raül framed Lina's voice in analog clouds, with brilliant arrangements and a never-before-tried approach, giving Fado a unique electronic view underlining its universal condition. Lina profoundly moving, each song she owns is a monument in the history of Fado, whose voice haunts us all. Sometimes you need to break the rules, that is how you end up making history.
