Spain, 1980s. Philippe is a ten-year-old French boy traveling with his very pregnant mother, Marie, and his father, Tomas, whose plan is to take them home to the village where he grew up and introduce the boy to his Spanish roots. The atmosphere of Karlag will be conveyed through costumes, props, and sets created after extensive research in archives and museums.
