An orphanage resident, Nikita, flees justice to Moscow, where he meets Den, a rich orphan who offers Nikita a ticket to a better life in exchange for his friendship. Nikita agrees, not knowing what price he will have to pay for it.

Again, a commotion in a small Volga town, a girl disappeared again, they are again looking for a maniac. Zhenya is the only one who knows the truth: the death of the child was an accident. Actually, the girl died almost before his eyes. Only he does not dare to tell this truth to anyone. The fact is that Zhenya was released from prison a couple of days ago, and the sister of the deceased child is Zhenya's ex-girlfriend who left him. The ideal accused. The three not-so-lucky guys are having the most difficult, weirdest and funniest day of their lives. Meanwhile, in Moscow, a gang of Kyrgyz conspirators begins to wield, a sexist gynecologist and a feminist traumatologist come to work, a film producer is cheating on the Motherland, and clay policemen are uncovering their batons. The only question is which of these meetings will become fatal for our friends.

An unofficial sequel to the movie "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession". The events take place on New Year's Eve 1997-1998, 24 years after the events of the movie. According to the plot, the main characters (Shurik, Bunsha, Zina and Ulyana Andreyevna) are going to celebrate New Year's Eve, and the engineer Alexander Sergeyevich Timofeev (Shurik) decides to present his recreated (and modernized) time machine to the guests. Having gone to the XVI century, they find there an aged Georges Miloslavsky, who has been sitting as regent for 25 years instead of Ivan the Terrible, who has run away; the Tsar was so inspired by the profession of Zina and Yakin that he decided to try his hand at filmmaking and went to "Mosfilm" instead of the Tsar's chambers. In an effort to correct the disruption of the course of history, the heroes re-engage the time machine and travel back to the 1970s in search of the Tsar, who dreams of becoming an actor.

One day, third grade students received “invitation cards” with amazing content: “Dear friend, inhabitant of planet Earth! If you want to meet people of another civilization, come to the dance floor in the old park tonight”. This meeting, of course, did not take place, but there was a reason for good fun and interesting conversation...
