Vangelis is a lazy guy who's trying to earn some money to marry his beloved, but he is captured by the police who confused him with a wanted man. Eventually, the true crook is arrested and Vangelis returns to his beloved.

Alice is a girl who can't hold down a job. When she hears about a typist position at a newspaper, she hopes she'll finally succeed. But things get complicated when her editor-in-chief assigns her to interview an important public figure.

Lisa (Xenia Kalogeropoulou) runs away from her father at the Athens airport because she does not want to marry a rich man from Paris whom her father has chosen for her. She hitchhikes to the city, where she meets Giorgos (Kostas Kakkavas) a handsome driver. Then, she runs away from him as well and tries to find her mother’s brother (Iordanis), whom she has never seen before. Her father publishes her photo in the newspapers and offers a reward of one hundred thousand drachmas to anyone who finds her. Lisa is now afraid that everyone can identify her, and so, in order to hide, she mingles with a group of tourists. However, she is unaware that her uncle is their guide. Giorgos has followed her in order to find out the reason she left him so suddenly, takes her in his car one more time, and they spend the night together.

A poor and refined water fisherman, Zafeiris Kassis (Nikos Xanthopoulos), who was invited by the barba - Minas pop singer in Athens, maintains his mother and his sister's widow's family. In the center where he sings, Renata, the daughter of the millionaire big publisher Derku and editor of one of his newspapers, is visiting him. At their first meeting, they strongly argue because of a girl's article in the newspaper and his own response. When they happen to meet again in Hydra, where they know better, a strong and mutual feeling develops between them. Renata's father and his environment are opposed to this relationship, while Renata is forced to leave Zafire. But her love for him is unshakable.

An entire social microcosm lies hidden in plain sight in a decrepit Athenian courtyard of a humble mid-1960s neighbourhood. Love, desire, and deceit are all vital components of this little machine; nevertheless, is dreaming for everyone?
