Fabienne Fabrèges was a French stage and screen actress, director and writer. She made her stage debut in Paris when she was 1904 performing in Balzac’s “La cousine Bette.” Her first film was "Le portrait de Mireille" in 1909. Fabienne Fabrèges appeared in some 70 film productions, the last probably in "La piccola ignota" (1923).

Greslou’s psychological self analysis traces the nexus of causes that propelled him to his current predicament. The memoir culminates with his experience as a tutor for an aristocratic family: when he experiments with the affection he inspires in a young girl, the disciple’s actions eventually leading to her death.
