A tour guide and a failed actress accompany four inmates to the Pollino massif, in search of the centuries-old Bosnian pine, a symbol of resilience. The journey quickly becomes a journey of transformation, filled with encounters and changes, punctuated by a music that takes shape step by step, becoming a collective voice capable of bringing together diverse bodies, emotions, and stories. In a harsh yet beautiful landscape, punctuated by unexpected solidarity, fragments of complex lives emerge, along with open wounds and a profound need to be seen and heard. Talking, singing, and naming what has been experienced becomes a way to release tensions and rediscover a sense of belonging, at least until a sudden event calls everything into question. Because, sometimes, sharing one's story is already a first step toward something bigger.

New year's eve at "The Islands" condos. An aging countess's party is crashed by the soccer team from her gigolo's town. While dressing for a dinner party, the wealthy Guilia discovers her husband's affair with her best friend and vows revenge. Next door, a family prepares their vintage Dodge for a drive through the streets. A call girl ties up a lawyer while, unbeknownst to him, three men await the right moment to break into his office. Across the hall, a woman downs pills in a lonely suicide attempt. Two young men hide out in a bedroom smoking dope; one of them has some dynamite. As midnight approaches, each group draws closer to grotesque tragedy.

La buona battaglia – Don Pietro Pappagallo is an Italian television miniseries based on the true story of Don Pietro Pappagallo, a Catholic priest and Italian anti-fascist who assisted victims of Nazism and Fascism in Rome during World War II and was arrested and executed in the Ardeatine Caves massacre on March 24, 1944. It was produced by 11 Marzo Cinematografica and Rai Fiction, directed by Gianfranco Albano, written by Stefano Gabrini and Furio Scarpelli, and stars Flavio Insinna as Don Pietro. It was first released in 2006 and is distributed by Radiotelevisione Italiana and RaiTrade.
