Their shoot devolves into a farce of unpaid castings, half-naked auditions, and Tarantino-inspired delusions, ensuring disaster from the first clapperboard.

Poland in the 80’s was a country ruled by crisis and a sense of hopelessness. Only few knew how to turn crisis into a business. It was a golden time for them. How did they know what would bring them money? How did they operate in a country where almost everything was forbidden?

The adventures of self-proclaimed and overzealous director Mariusz and his two companions Gregory and Peter, who, after a failed attempt to make a film and escape from their creditors, nevertheless decide to finish the film and become giants of world cinema and shoebusiness sharks.
