This 2021 Deutsche Oper Berlin performance is directed by Christof Loy and stars soprano Sara Jakubiak in the title role. Riccardo Zandonai’s Francesca da Rimini is a four-act opera set during the Renaissance period. The plot concerns an arranged marriage between Francesca and Giovanni, also known as Gianciotto, who is impersonated by his handsome brother Paolo, and with whom Francesca falls passionately in love.

Jonathan Tetelman and Vida Miknevičiūtė lead the cast in the Deutsche Oper's highly anticipated new production of Giordano's Fedora – a verismo gem that mixes elements of international espionage and intrigue with grand romance, all set to music of irresistible melodic power. Continuing his series of acclaimed stagings of early 20th-century Italian operas at Deutsche Oper, Christof Loy promises to bring a characteristic mixture of intelligence and style to Giordano's work, while the world-class cast – conducted by John Fiore – guarantees a feast for lovers of great singing. Gounod's Faust at the Bavarian State Opera: Jonathan Tetelman plays Faust, the scholar who makes a pact with Mephistopheles (Kyle Ketelsen) before seducing Marguerite (Olga Kulchynska). The unfortunate woman descends into madness but ultimately achieves redemption. Lotte de Beer directs this production, which marks Nathalie Stutzmann's debut in Munich as conductor.

The classic opera about falling into and out of love, friendship, and loss. Mimi and the poet Rudolfo, the painter Marcello and Musetta are the lovers; the musician Schaunard and philosopher Colline round out the set of friends living life rather close to the edge in Paris' Left Bank.

From Venice's Teatro La Fenice, the traditional New Year's Concert conducted by Maestro Michele Mariotti, featuring arias, duets, and choral pieces performed by soloists Rosa Feola and Jonathan Tetelman. The event will be enhanced by dance performances by étoiles Eleonora Abbagnato and Friedemann Vogel.

Accompanied by the chamber music ensemble CHAARTS, the soprano and tenor perform arias and duets from works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, and Bizet. All in the open air, in the courtyard of Neuschwanstein Castle.
