Lebanese director Angie Obeid embarks on a road trip with her father, Mansour, retracing a journey he made 42 years ago. She tries to reach out to the young Mansour, understand the decisions he made when he was her age, and find common ground. The film explores the challenges and opportunities that arise when navigating the boundaries between tradition and modernity, family and individuality, home and the wider world.

Pacific is the name of the building where the director lives, on the 18th floor. Also known as “the suicide tower”, it is a typical example of collective housing. In 2015, Nuhad, a 53-year-old Syrian woman, decided to leave Damascus. Her destination was Beirut to stay with her son's friend Angie, a 27-year-old Lebanese woman. Angie’s house becomes Nuhad's sole refuge. Angie observes the older lady and finds intersections between her own life and Nuhad’s: they both are vainly trying to move out of their own walls to find the right place to exist in.
