Tunico is the most famous “Pirate Parrot” of Rio de Janeiro and is always chasing reporters to appear on TV. After a serious accident at an amusement park, Tunico meets Beto, a mysterious young man who becomes his apprentice. This encounter will reveal the dark side of the relentless pursuit of fame at any cost, in a Brazil with more than 70 million televisions turned on every day.

Manuela is journalist in her thirties who faces love and professional crises. In an unexpected incident, she gets to know Elena, who takes her to a support group for women who love too much or are excessively jealous: the League of those who are Obsessive-Compulsive for Affection (L.O.C.A., Brazilian slang for "crazy"). The therapist seems to be an extremely mature and structured psychologist. Manuela sees this group as a chance to write an incredible article about the current female roles and wishes.

At a supermarket, Magno watches over boys with backpacks as they go along the corridors. Meanwhile, the night drags on slowly for Bismarck, a cashier.

In four stories inspired by humorous tales by Ariano Suassuna, each created based on phrases by the poet from Paraíba, we meet Helder, Fabiano, Pierce and Lorena, living different situations where, ironically, the lie is always the protagonist.

After the mysterious disappearance of his father, Joventino, the cowboy José Leôncio becomes a wealthy farm owner in Pantanal. Over twenty years have passed and, bitter-hearted because of his father vanishing and the escape of his wife to Rio de Janeiro with his baby, José Leôncio has the chance to make amends with the boy, now a young man raised in the big city with very different values and habits than his own.

In 1970, with the conflicts in Brazil due to political repression from the military dictatorship as a background, the inquisitive student Alice and the idealistic doctor Renato fall deeply in love. Their worlds are joined by passion, but they are kept apart for many years by family feuds and a country facing a turmoil that affects lives and dreams.

The show showcases Brazilian diversity through a gallery of businesses, showcasing interactions, styles, accents, and mannerisms, including hoarders, beauticians, influencers, app drivers, and internet haters.
