Retired Navy S.E.A.L. Christopher 'Soup' Campbell is a tactical specialist for a private security firm at a counter terrorism training facility hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The military and intelligence community call him 'Soup', not only because of the familiarity of his last name, but his ability to combine and assess a variety of threats into a strategic tactical response.

Steve McGarrett returns home to Oahu, in order to find his father's killer. The governor offers him the chance to run his own task force (Five-0). Steve's team is joined by Chin Ho Kelly, Danny "Danno" Williams, and Kono Kalakaua.
