Kumiko Mizumori

Two friends, both members of a Japanese cargo boat, return to Japan after a three-month voyage and have just 24 hours shore leave. In those hectic hours, they vie for the affections of a hotel owner's daughter but wind up with separate girl friends and attempt to bring together the parents of a baby who have separated.

A young girl knows that she is going to die and in this she is supported by the devotion of the boy who loves her. They originally met at the hospital. There it transpired that the only way to save her life was to sacrifice an eye and part of her face. The operation seems a success. Later, however, her other eye becomes affected. She feels she must let the boy go, and yet she depends so much upon his devotion.

Azusa has just been discharged from the hospital and is frolicking on the beach in Jushi, finally getting her freedom. Her older sister, Kozue, looks after her. Her father Shuhei moved from Tokyo to Jushi to provide a peaceful environment for his sick daughter. One day Azusa meets Tomita, a high school student, and falls in love with him at first sight. This is a masterpiece of literary lyrics, about two sisters living with bright and pure love, looking at the approaching shadow of death and giving all their feelings to limited youth.

After accidentally hitting and killing a man on a rainy highway, a married couple takes in the victim’s widow and disabled mother out of guilt. What begins as an uneasy act of compassion gradually turns into a tense and psychologically charged living arrangement. As suspicions, jealousy, and hidden desires surface, the relationship between the two women spirals toward obsession, betrayal, and tragedy.

Based on the original work of Yasunori Kawauchi of "Moonlight Mask", this is the fifth in the "Ginza Whirlwind Child (Mitsutogai)" series in which Asahi Kobayashi dressed as a hero of the dead ghost. Familiar Takuya Nikaido challenges the international call girl organization.
