Based on true events, this story is set in the 1970s in Jerusalem. Yaakov Elbaz, recently released from prison, is recruited by the police to infiltrate the Black Panthers, a protest group consisting of Sephardi Jews (Middle Eastern Jews). Initially serving as a mole, Elbaz gradually becomes involved with the group and begins to empathize with their ideals. His growing connection to their cause leads him into a dangerous double game that threatens to ruin his life.

A young man by the name of Hertzel comes back to Israel broke after years abroad and finds work hanging advertising posters. He drives across the country from north to south in his deceased father’s old Volvo, meeting stranded people, lost people, people on quests – until his journey brings him face to face with himself and with open questions about the past.

A Sephardic Baalei Teshuva family tries to integrate within the insular Ashkenazi Haredi community in Bnei Brak. Their son Raphael, a prodigy, is not accepted into a prestigious yeshiva. His mother, Ahuva, tries to handle the situation peacefully, but his father, Shmuel, a handyman with great faith, struggles to accept the situation. Shmuel fights to change this decree, leading to the family’s ostracization and their children’s expulsion from local institutions. A dramatic event shakes both the family and Haredi society, probing their shared faith. The film explores the struggles of Baalei Teshuva, their faith, their escape from the past, and the personal cost of their journey.

A well-intentioned Arabic-Muslim handyman upends the day-to-day lives of the locals in a small Israeli village. Shortly after his arrival, a young woman is assaulted and the community quickly turns accusatory. His employer is the only one who believes him, but even those loyalties are tested as more information and secrets are uncovered.
