The world is an empty and cold place. Razed. There’s no time, there’s no place. Maybe there’s nothing beyond violence. When there’s not a single path to safety, the only refuge is a forest and the only possible salvation is through a spell.

A boy and a girl who have just met transport a corpse on request to the north of Mexico. When the police discover them at a routine check, they are forced to flee. Forced to team up, they will abandon their secrecy and mistrust while trying to assert his only heritage: a dead man who they only know is worth money if they manage to take him to his destination.

Driven by the search for a connection that gives meaning to its existence, a mutant being breaks free from its cycle of captivity to face an urbanized world dominated by electronic ruins and collapsed structures. In this quest for identity, it moves between the artificial and the organic, between the dreamlike and the real, trying to define itself in a constantly changing universe.

Fernando Barrientos, Head of the National Security Directorate, Mexico's Secret Police, is trying to reach the highest position in the country. On his way, he'll have to manipulate, betray, and kill, and he's well prepared for it. However, his path will be full of obstacles. Nobody, not even his family, will be immune to the chaos left in his quest for total power.

When a girl vanishes from a suburb near Mexico City, the personal goals of some involved in the case muddy the search. Based on a true story.
