Martin and Ryan are two young men in their twenties who are both tired of their respective lives; Ryan is an African boy who has arrived in Italy illegally, and after clashing with the reality of the "European dream" within which he cannot find his place, he only wishes to return home to his family in Africa. The two friends meet Beatrice, a Martin's childhood friend. They decide to join forces and begin to refit an old abandoned sailboat with which Ryan will be able to return home.
