A filmmaker sets out to create the greatest film in history, but finds out that human abilities have limits.

Åsa-Nisse and Klabbarparn with wives taking part in a jenka-contest from Knohult to Vetlanda where he reports with his homemade walkie-talkie. Then he demonstrates the "Demon-Spritzer", a self-made cement machine which then breaks down and squirts down Klabbarparn with cement. Sjökvist is robbed and bike down with his delivery-bicycle in water at a beach. The robbers then repents and wants to return the money. The old Victor Branzell has a grandson, Alf, who is in love with a clerk in a glove shop, Lilian Lind. But Lilian with her simple background doesn't get accepted in the circles where Alf belongs, and they have now reached the conclusion that they can't have a future together. Marriage is impossible. Victor summons Lilian and Alf and starts telling them his life story.

A doctor for females gets a visit from Gun, who wants to get an abortion. But the doctor wants her to reconsider and keep the baby.

Lapland, Sweden. The Sami Arvi wants to marry young Aino but her mother will not give her permission as long as Arvi does not have a herd of 400 reindeer. The only one who has reindeer to sell is the rich Oula, but he wants to marry Aino as well. The only way for Arvi to get the animals is buying them from Norway - but this is highly illegal.

Romance blossoms between single seamstress Puck and the art critic, Roger. He is engaged to Elsa, whose wedding dress Puck is involved with designing.
