The young woman was held captive for months in a basement prison by arms dealer Hübner as a slave. Tom tries to convince the desperate not to jump. The wealthy Hamburg gallery owner Elaine Troost dies mysteriously on a stormy fall night and her body is subsequently found in the bathtub by her daughter Gabrielle. The autopsy of the body reveals that her death was caused by violence. A witness testifies shortly afterwards that she saw the art forger Jan Vleuten outside the gallery owner's house on the night of the murder. He is nicknamed "the blonde monkey" because of his strange fondness for primates and his light blonde hair...

Blind psychologist Tom Leschek accidentally witnesses a heavily armed SEK policeman running amok and barricading himself in a supermarket with his daughter. The policeman's ex-wife was supposed to take the girl by court order that day. Leschek uses his cell phone to get in touch with the police, who use the blind man as a mediator and advisor in this emergency situation.

Tanja Wilken starts her new job in Freiburg's homicide department and there's already a dead body on her very first day. What's more, everyone at the police station seems to be related to everyone else - it's a real bullpen.

Lilo Maertens has been the editor of a women's magazine for several years. Now the women's rights activist is close to her 80th birthday and has to admit slowly but surely that she has to hand over the management. After eye surgery, Lilo is initially out of action and has to stay with her son Ruben and his wife Jutta. From then on she made life difficult for the couple. Only Finn finds access to his grandma.
