This film lifts the veil on the inner workings of women in politics, where everything happens far from microphones and official images. Through intimate and unfiltered testimonies from emblematic Quebec political figures, the film reveals the obstacles, struggles, and power dynamics that mark their journeys, while highlighting those who, despite resistance, forge new paths and redefine the contours of power.

The film follows Rémi, a man in his fifties who raises bison in the Laurentides region. One morning, while working, he comes across a six-year-old boy in pajamas, Hugo, on his land, who claims to be looking for his father among the bison.

Johanie, the single mother of a dysfunctional family, takes a dim view of the arrival of Ian and his dog in the neighborhood. Like a trench dividing the two camps, the back alley becomes the witness of a rivalry where prejudice, fascination and frustration mingle slyly with the sound of barking.

Sophia, a brilliant doctoral student, has always maintained a symbiotic relationship with her brother Karim. The arrival of a new lover in Karim’s life significantly alters their dynamic.

Gabrielle and Yoan are 18 years old. Even though they both grew up in Temiscamingue, their aspirations are opposite. While Yoan wants to leave the area to break away from his loneliness and explore his homosexuality, Gabrielle is torn at the thought of going over a hundred kilometers away from home to carry on with her studies.

Between tension and tenderness, a mother welcomes her two children in her new and modest apartment for a weekend.
