Lisbon's traditional Saint Anthony's Weddings have hit rock bottom. At least, that's what Stardust, a major French multinational poised to take over the event, believes. Carmo and Valentim, two Lisbon City Hall employees who have spent more than 25 years organizing the celebrations, are given a harsh ultimatum: reinvent the event and turn it into a modern success, or lose their jobs. Directed by the filmmaker behind The Gilded Cage, Saint Anthony is a vibrant comedy and a heartfelt love letter to Lisbon. A celebration of human connection, identity, and cultural resilience in an increasingly globalized world.

1970 something. As the end of an era of repression approaches, a bourgeois family still in its bubble of power spends its vacation in a country house. The film tells us how university vacations changed our protagonist's life. The vacations took him home, as they did every year, but that year he was overcome by the vertigo of passion, culminating in a marriage proposal. Everything turns out to be ephemeral, misleading, where the betrayal of his closest friend may, after all, stem solely from his characteristic recklessness. But the reasons don't matter, what matters are the actions and their interpretation by each of the characters, which lead to the supreme act of love... and revenge.
