An ill-fated flight ends in the Western Desert where it crash-fives into quicksand as the passengers try to control their temper. The movie provides archetypes as they start reflecting on their lives in crisis, some of them being hopeless, and some of them being hopeless romantics.

The story of Mayor Abdul Razek al-Sharshabi (Omar al-Sharif) when his younger son, Tawfiq (Khalid al-Nabawi) is called for army recruitment, his wife (Safiya al-Omari), rejects it, suggesting to send someone else to go instead. So the Mayor persuaded a poor father named Abdul-Muqeem (Izzat al-Alayli) to send his only son Masrey instead.

Ghada, a young woman from a wealthy family, falls in love with her university colleague, Abou Zeid. Despite opposition from her influential uncle due to social differences, she chooses to follow her heart. But their marriage soon faces unexpected challenges that put their trust in each other to the test.

Adel is a journalist for a major newspaper, divorced and single, he was married before and has a daughter. One night, in the bar he always visits, he meets Nash'at al Kashef, the son of a the famous businessman Fahmy Al Kashef. Nash'at kills the bartender and he injures the belly dancer Nadia when she refuses to go back to his house with him. Adel calls the police, but Fahmy uses his power to get the accusation off his son. Adel succeeds in reaching Nadia, the only witness, and makes her confess what she saw to the police, who catch Nash'at and send him to court. Adel falls in love with Mosheera, daughter of Fahmy Al Kashef. The court finds Nash'at not guilty, so Adel decides to set justice to the case by his own hands.

Aisha, who sold her share in the house to save her husband Fahmy from going to prison after being accused of embezzlement, so that Fahmy marries a rich woman in order to grow his business and lives a double life, so what will Aisha do ?

Adel Imam and neighbour Abdel Moneim Madbouly are taken to a Police station after an altercation with a bus conductor. They are mistakenly arrested with a group of suspected terrorists and taken to a maximum security jail.

The idealistic rural man Abo El-Ela resumes his journey with his family, as he struggles to fight corruption and greed around him while trying to keep his loved ones away from trouble.
