After years apart, brothers Horst and Franz reunite. Horst is dealing with Alzheimer’s, while Franz is in debt, and sees his brother’s unspent inheritance as the solution to his financial problems. Spoed is a Belgian action drama TV series produced in the Dutch language in Belgium since 2000. The series is also shown on both Flemish/Belgian TV and Dutch TV. The series is directed by Johan Thiels and Guy Thys. The series has produced 217 episodes to date. It may be compared to the American TV programs ER or Chicago Hope.

The series Auwch revolves around everyday painful and embarrassing situations in which the main characters are constantly getting into, with the familiar awkward silences result ... the apparent inability of men to understand women, is it often central, but also the awkwardness in dealing with friends and with fellow VIP's in their professional lives.

Each episode takes the form of a broadcast made by a fictional pirate television station from a fictional small-minded village in East-Flanders, manned by a small number of VJs who introduce various sketches disguised as news or human interest reports. The style of both the program and its official website is deliberately amateurish. Most episodes involve a framing story which intertwines with certain sketches. Many characters are recurring and feature several catchphrases. The series sometimes includes sketches about current news, such as a baby found at a railway station, but also reacted to some negative critique, not taking itself too seriously.
