A web-designer receives a letter that says that he must keep silent, beginning with the next Saturday. By the time Saturday comes, the poor designer totally forgets about the weird letter.

The film is set in 1913 Russia during the celebrations of the Tricentennial Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty. Rich Russian merchants are celebrating their wealth by gambling and playing poker. They are traveling aboard the luxurious cruise liner "St. Nikolai" on Volga river, oblivious to the fact that several gangs of crooks and con-artists are stealing their money in the game. Their target is the wealthiest Russian tycoon Satanovsky.

Andrey loses his beloved dog, and with it the meaning of life. He wanders alone around the city in a fruitless search. One day, a girl appears on Andrey's doorstep and offers to play the role of a dog, taking its place - such psychological help for money. Andrey refuses this crazy idea, but when despair reaches its limit, he... agrees, and the strangest adventure of his life begins.

Three murders are committed in a sanatorium under the poetic name "Cherry Orchard". But the police inspector does not have to break his head for a long time in search of killers - he knows almost everything: who, when and how were killed, the killers - the only thing left to figure out are the reasons...

Based on another famous story - the robbery of the State Bank of the Armenian SSR in 1977, when the Kalachyan brothers swept the treasury for one and a half million rubles (two million dollars at the then exchange rate). It was the largest kidnapping in the Soviet Union. 1967 year. Moscow. A fashion model from the House of Fashion was killed. A group of Major Cherkasov arrives at the crime scene. He urgently introduces his man, Sonya Timofeeva, into the Fashion House, whose main task is to obtain information about the relationship between the employees of the Fashion House. Soon, another fashion model dies. And simultaneously with this murder, a very daring crime is taking place - the robbery of Goznak ...

The beginning of the 70s. Major Cherkasov and his team are investigating a new case. This time we are talking about robberies. And this is the sphere of management for combating theft of socialist property (UBKhSS). During the robberies, the bandits mercilessly kill witnesses. The robberies are well organized and well thought out. And someone very knowledgeable prepares them. The leadership decides to unite the efforts of two departments of the Moscow militia against the "outlaws": the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the UBKHS. Together they are preparing an operation to arrest the gang.

Major Bagryshev's jealousy towards trainee Solomatin is fueled by symptoms of Alzheimer's. They team up to solve a murder case resembling Bagryshev's past, but time is limited as the experienced investigator's memory fades.

Yana and Andrei’s marriage is falling apart. Andrei, a photographer, leaves on a business trip, and she secretly follows him. His body is found in one of the restroom stalls on the St. Petersburg–Moscow train. The investigation suggests that Andrei hanged himself. The question remains: why did a man who seemed to have it all take his own life?
