A traveling theatre company comes to a small town and performs to a packed house. But during the show the theatre director decides to run away with the money.

The estate Bokegård has big debts, mostly because the owner Måns Nilsson and his daughter Rose Marie just care about their horses.

They are currently developing a new type of mine at Fredrik's workplace. The head of the company is a young woman, Eva Seman.

When Ludvig Ekman is ordered to do his military rehearsals course, he sends one of his employees, Lasse Alm, to do it for him. Everything is fine until Alm also is ordered to do the same thing - on the same boat! There is only one thing to do: Ekman goes as Alm. When Ekman goes aboard, he discovers that it is his wife's ex-husband who is captain and Ekman really is punished for marrying his wife.
