A young woman has been murdered in one of the apartments. Prosecutor Babaev goes to the scene of the crime. He must find the killer, Nargiz, and investigate the motive for the crime, together with homicide investigator Yagubov.

Novruzali brings a gift from the village to the Khan as usual. The Khan writes a letter to his friend living in Yerevan, promising to come there with his wife and to tidy and heat the house where they will stay. He sends Novruzali to the post office to put the letter in the mailbox. And instructs him not to give it to anyone. Novruzali, who does not know what mail is, puts a letter in the mailbox for the first time in his life. Not knowing the rules, he waits near the mailbox. When the postal worker takes the letters from the mailbox, Novruzali thinks he is a thief and confronts him.

The film is about the public prosecutor who fought against the criminality but was killed by them.

Young border guard Sergeant Farrukh is in love with Izran, a girl from a neighboring village. Izran's father does not believe in the seriousness of the young man's intentions and forbids his daughter from seeing him. But after seeing Farrukh in action, arresting border violators, he changes his attitude towards the border guard. Farrukh pursues the violator. A landslide drives them both into a ravine. This film was based on Samad Vurgun's "Komsomol poem". Seven sons, like seven samurai become the seven komsomols (communist leaders) who were sent to a village to establish Soviet power. Seven sons become the romanticized images of people's heroes ready to take revenge.

The life of the protagonist of the film, Farid, changes completely after what happened in a mountain village, where a pedestrian escaped from the responsibility, which he thought was dead.
