Monika, a woman in her fifties, feels that she has reached all the important milestones in her life. Her child is grown up and she is very successful in her career as a workaholic. However, she has less and less in common with her husband, and her thoughts are increasingly returning to her youth, when she was not afraid to go off the beaten track and could appreciate the beauty of the moment. Monika decides to discover her adventurous self and enrols in a climbing course organised by Igor. He is the absolute opposite of Monika - a spontaneous and chaotic fool, a lifelong adventurer with no self-reflection and no sense of responsibility, who is mired in problems caused by his carefree lifestyle.

A satiric tragi-comedy about two women and their lover Robert who is an emigrant that keeps coming back. This film shows chaotic post-communist Europe after the fall of totalitarianism. Two opposite characters, women, meet during the Velvet Revolution in November 1989. Intellectual dissident Nona and a Communist secret police boss’ mistress Ester. They meet at an anti-regime demonstration and become friends. They don’t want anything to do with politics, both want to get married and have kids, but also get rich. Crazy plans and risky attempts to realize their shared dreams land them in many sticky situations in the post-revolution chaos. Too much money gets in the way of the power of friendship.

The loose sequel to the film "Pásla kone na betóne" returns to the familiar heroes after some time. The communist dictatorship is no longer raging and capitalism is penetrating even the remote corners of Slovakia. As it turns out, however, people don't change much over time, and their joys and worries are still the same. The tragicomic story depicts the vicissitudes of Johanna's new relationship with brewery manager Janko Kvašný, the unhappy marriage of her daughter Paulina and life in the new social conditions in an eastern Slovak village.

Even the best of friends can fall apart, often all it takes is a minor misunderstanding. That's exactly what happened to two village friends, children finishing elementary school, between whom hostility and suspicion suddenly set in. The mosaic-like plot contains a number of humorous observations, but overall it distances itself from any ambition to deeply affect the mentality of adolescents, much less the countryside.

At 43, Inge Jung thinks she has it all. A great career in a multinational company, friends, unerring judgement and self-confidence. Until betrayal strikes and Inge loses everything she's loved about her life in one moment. She loses her job, her car and her apartment after an unexpected layoff, but it's only the first slap of fate that sets off a cruel roller coaster of knowledge. After exhausting all options, she decides to move to central Slovakia to an old inheritance house in a secluded area near a small town. In her new surroundings, she receives a kindly upbringing that melts her stony heart and hard head. In addition, an attractive neighbour, Martin, who has long since left a life as a graphic designer in London, enters her life...
